I met John briefly one time so I didn“t really get to know him. Do know the Lillie family and they are great people. Condolences to all.

I first met John in junior high school, he was the crazy kid who wore the white bandana and was all over the basketball court. In high school John was one of the funniest guys in our class, he had a magnetic personality, if you were in his presence you were probably laughing. In our senior year we took a trip to Spain, there we were not kids anymore, but not adults either, but John had us rolling in the aisles all week with his wit, his insight and his always present energy. We are all going to miss you my friend. Peace buddy. Jerry

I had the pleasure of working with John and I enjoyed our talks and the jokes. You were a true professional in all you did. You and my brother Joe were best of friends which is why I knew who you were before coming to work for the City. You will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of spending time with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in peace my friend

John, we had a good time together for several years. I appreciated your willingness to learn the electric utility industry. I remember the first staff meeting you attended, you had no clue what anyone was talking about but you applied yourself and learned a very complex industry. Our meetings were epic. We would talk about the business for the first 10 minutes and swap stories for the next 2 hours. You were a fun person to be around. Rest in peace John, I will miss you!
