With profound sadness and an enduring sense of joy for a life vibrantly lived, we announce the passing of Mr. John Vinton Lowe. John, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on March 18, 1970, to Marion "Bud" Lowe and Wanesia "Sissy" Lowe, his vibrant spirit and infectious charm graced this world for over five decades.

John was a man of many passions, a true enthusiast of life's simple pleasures. His love for the Miracle League shone brightly as he proudly played for the Texas Rangers, where his sportsmanship was as legendary as his playful competitiveness. He carried this same energy into his lifelong support for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, teams for which his enthusiasm knew no bounds.

A master of flirtation, John's charm was matched only by his genuine affection for those around him. His love for the ladies was ever-present, and his heart always held a special place for a young lady he admired, Christy, at Dairy Queen. With a twinkle in his eye and a sly grin, John navigated the world with a lighthearted ease that drew people to him.

John's creative spirit found an outlet in constructing intricate worlds with Legos, and drawing, hobbies that showcased his patience and attention to detail. Off the field, he loved to fish, and his green thumb was apparent to all who saw the flowers he planted.

John's family was the cornerstone of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion "Bud" Lowe. He leaves behind his loving mother, Wanesia "Sissy" Lowe, who will cherish his memory every day. His sisters, Gail Dunevent and her husband Todd, Heather Weatherford and her husband Jeff, will miss his laughter and warmth. His legacy will continue to live on through his beloved nieces and nephews, Chris Dunevent, Zeke Dunevent and his wife Taylor, Nick James and his wife Maddie, Nayeli Gatica Carrera and her husband Jose Gatica Huertas, and Nymh Carrera.

John's absence will also be profoundly felt by his furry companions, his cat Poppy and his dog Annie, who were his constant shadows and sources of unconditional love.

A Funeral Service for John will be at 2 o'clock on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor David Payne and Pastor Ray Lowe officiating. Interment will be at New Covington Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the funeral home.
