John J. "Jack" Welch

John J. "Jack" Welch, of Bradford, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence.
He was born in Salem, MA, on August 31, 1948, the son of the late David J. and Priscilla (Jayznka) Welch.
Jack was educated in the Salem school system and graduated from Salem High School with the Class of 1966. He went on to attend both Boston College and the Maine Maritime Academy.
An avid sports enthusiast, Jack played baseball in high school and college, and later enjoyed playing softball in local leagues. As a fan, he loved riding the roller coaster of Boston sports, particularly the Red Sox and Patriots.
His love of sports was only eclipsed by his love of family and friends. He was always quick with a witty word or some much-needed wisdom. Jack was ever encouraging and supportive of the professional, athletic, and artistic endeavors of his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, David J. Welch.
Jack is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nina A. (Felker) Welch. He also leaves behind his sons, Colin Welch of Haverhill, Edward Felker and his wife Claudia of Haverhill, and James Felker and his wife Melanie of Dracut. His beloved grandchildren are Olivia Welch, Nathan Felker, Emma Felker, Eduardo Felker, and Adrian Felker.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday September 16 from 3:00-6:00 PM in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
