Obituary
John Charles Wolf, 76, of Madison, Indiana, and son of the late Maurice and Mary (Tellis) Wolf, was born March 12, 1947, in Madison. He was a 1965 graduate of Shawe Memorial High School, where he still holds a top scoring honor for career points scored in basketball. He went on to play basketball for Bellarmine University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration and earned a spot on the 1969 Kentucky College All-Star Basketball team. After graduation, he returned to Shawe High School to teach and coach where he became the first coach at SMHS to win any sectional title. He later became a partner in Nighbert-Wolf Real Estate where he spent many years building and selling homes. John was an avid golfer and spent any free time he could on the course with his friends. He was very proud to tell you he had six hole in ones in his golf career. Mr. Wolf passed away August 11, 2023 at his home in Madison.
His life will be cherished by his wife Pamela of Madison, IN; his children: Whitney Wolf and her son, Grant, of Zionsville, Indiana and Kyle Wolf and his wife, Vanessa of Astoria, New York; his sisters: Sandy (Phil) McCauley, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Maurine Mazezka, of Orlando, FL and Margie (Mike) Nickels of Carmel, IN; his brothers: Bob (Connie) Wolf, of Madison and Joe Wolf, of Dusselldorf, Germany; his brother-in-laws, Dennis Munier (Diane) of Madison and Dave Munier (Kay) of Owensboro, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Ryan Wolf.
John's wishes were to be cremated and with no services.
