Jon Morrin

Jon Eric Morrin, 1977-2024 Jon Eric Morrin, known for his love of life and unwavering dedication to his family, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in Washington Terrace, UT. Born on June 1, 1977, in Ogden, UT, Jon was adopted by his loving parents, Richard Morrin and Sharon Warner. He was a devoted son, father, brother, and friend. Jon was a cute little baby who had a warm smile and a happy disposition that was easy to fall in love with. He grew up in Ogden, UT, and attended Ogden High School. Jon enjoyed joking around and loved adventure. He was a certified skydiver. His fun personality made it easy for him to connect with people, so he had friends everywhere he went. He was extremely talented and loved creating various works of art. He shared his talents by giving his drawings, crochet blankets, hats and stuffed animals to family and friends. Jon enjoyed the scouting program and earned his Eagle scout as a teenager. He found the most peace and joy spending time in the mountains with family and friends. In his early 20's Jon met, fell in love with and married Carrie Schlicht. Shortly after they were married, their beloved son Jackson was born. Jackson was the love of his life. He was also a father to his stepdaughter, Jaydein with whom he had a special bond. Jon's role as a father was one of his greatest joys. He deeply loved his children and took pride in their accomplishments. Jon and Carrie were married for three years, and have remained friends ever since. Jon shared the last few months of his life with his cherished girlfriend, Kalley Jaques, with whom he was living. Kalley was not only Jon's partner but also his confidante and best friend. Her caring, compassion and love, as well as Jon's connection with her children Kooper and Klaire gave him stability and happiness that had alluded him for many years. Despite dealing with physical ailments in the last several years of his life, Jon endured his health challenges well and tried to enjoy life to the fullest. Jon is survived by his son, Jackson; his stepdaughter Jaydein; his parents, Richard Morrin and Sharon Warner; his sisters, Janica Gines and Jackie Swick; and his brothers, Jeff Morrin and James Morrin. Jon's vibrant spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private funeral service will be held later this week.
