Jonathan grew up in The Salvation Army Church. Music was a very important part of his life. He was part of the brass band, playing every type of brass instrument available to him. He also loved to sing and would always sing to the kids when they were babies. He loved his summers at Echo Grove Camp where he was a camper and then staff member at Music Camp and a lifeguard.
Jonathan married the love of his life, Jessica (Poore) in 2008. Together, they have two children, Mariah and Jordan. Family was everything to him. Would talk about his kids every chance he got to everyone he would meet. As his children got older and began playing sports, he was their biggest fan. He ended up helping coach a couple of Mariah's softball team. He loved coaching and helping the girls out anyway he could. He just really enjoyed being out there with his daughter. Jordan played Basketball and Baseball. He would always be on the sidelines cheering him on, while recording the games to show everyone. Jonathan would try and give him some pointers but Jordan his hard headed like his dad.
Jonathan had an amazing heart, very outgoing and always wanted to be around his family and friends. Jonathan could make anyone laugh! His personality would just suck you in. He could make friends with any group that we found ourselves in.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife Jessica, beloved daughter Mariah, amazing son Jordan, father Gerry (Beth) Dauer, mother Linda Cole, sisters Amanda (Sam) Jabara, Ashley Dauer, brother Christopher Dauer. In laws Bob and Caroline Poore, Chris Ramsey, Traci (Bernie) Cobb, Jennifer Velasquez, Robert (Leslie) Poore and Kim Poore,10 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 great nieces, and 5 great nephews. Jonathan will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who knew him.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for October 30th at The Salvation Army Royal Oak Citadel,
3015 North Main Street, Royal Oak,MI 49073. 10:00 Visitation 11:00 Memorial Service.

I am so very sorry to hear about Jonathan. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
May Our Abba Father hold you close and May you feel His Sweet
Spirit during this time of awful grief and pain.
I´m so thankful we have a hope and can look forward to our forever Home where there are no tears and goodbyes.
