Jose Maria Alejandro Jr., 75, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Jose was born on July 23, 1949 to Jose Maria Sr. And Rosabelle (Shiley) Alejandro in Fremont, OH. He was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Jose served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1970 and served in Vietnam.
Jose worked for Kelsey Hayes/ TRW as a night shift supervisor for over twenty-five years until he retired. He enjoyed golfing and music, including playing guitar, singing, playing in bands from a young age. He also loved karaoke. Jose was a wrestling coach for many years and was the founder of Fremont Alejandro Wrestling Club. He bled Scarlet and Grey and loved Ohio State.
Jose is survived by his children, Jonathan Alejandro, Anna Alejandro-Gundlach, both of Fremont, Daniel (Delaine) Alejandro, Vacaville, CA; grandchildren, Xavier, Victoria (Austin), Ahlerim, Ahsarin, Valeri; great grandchildren, Ana’Leigh and Jordan Jr.; siblings, Antonio (Sue) Alejandro, Arizona, Vickie (Gary) Foreman, Texas, Teresa Rogers, Irene Owsley, Martha (Candelario) Nieto, Andres (Tracy) Alejandro, all of Fremont, Miguel (Kathy) Alejandro, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, companion of over thirty-one years, Sherry Murry; sister, Carolyn Steward; brother, David Alejandro Sr.; infant siblings, Virginia and Anna.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde Oh with military honors provided by the VFW and American Legion.
