Joseph W. Christoff, 77, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, after a long illness. He is predeceased by his daughter Tarra, brother Tommy and brother Louis. He is survived by his beloved wife Alice Christoff; son Jayy Christoff; sister and brother in law Gail and Stanley Ziemba; and nieces and nephews. Lifelong resident of Johnson City, NY Joe was a kind and compassionate man. He served his country in the United States Navy as a medic during the Vietnam war. When he returned home he met the love of his life Alice who were married for over 50 years. He worked for the Town Of Union assessor's office for 30 years. Joe was a devoted baseball fan and loved watching all the Yankees games. He also coached Little League and Pony League baseball where he encouraged the players to do their best but to enjoy the game. We would like to thank the nice staff at Valley View nursing home who took care of him in his final year. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday March 23, 2025, at 1pm at the Barber Memorial Home 428 Main Street Johnson City NY. The family will receive friends starting at 12 Noon until the time of the service. Immediately following the service a catered luncheon will be held at Jonathan's restaurant in Endwell to celebrate Joe's life. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Citizens Commission On Human Rights non profit organization view information online www.CCHR.org Rest in Peace Joe, We will Miss You!
