Joseph H. Clause, 82, of Forked River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Born in Jersey City, Joe lived there until moving to Bergenfield in 1973. A devoted family man, Joe worked for AT&T for nearly 40 years and proudly served in the National Guard. Known for his dedication, he was a cherished husband, father, poppa, and friend.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Catherine Clause, and his sister, Elaine Chifulini. A lifelong New York Giants fan, his love for the team was rivaled only by his love for his family. He was a doting poppa, always there to support and nurture his six grandchildren-Cameron, Sara, Jared, Riley, Morgan, and Joseph James.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; daughters Nicole and Pat Taddeo, Danielle Clause, and Michele and Bob McKillop; son Joseph and Diane; his older sister Catherine Clause; his younger brother James and Irene Clause; his brother-in-law Richard Chifulini, husband of his late sister Elaine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will deeply miss him.
Joseph will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong work ethic, his quick wit, sarcastic humor, immaculate lawn, and his passion for life. May his memory be a blessing.
