Born in Bari, Italy on January 7, 1948 to Bonaventura and Filomena (Michielli) Giannone, he was employed at Borealis Compounds, LLC in Port Murray, NJ as Controller.
Joseph was predeceased by his brother Leonard and his sister Rosa Acotanza. He is survived by his wife Laurie nee Cocuzza, his son Joseph and his wife Alissa, his daughter Gina Marie Kun and her husband Danny, his brother Frank and his sisters Anna Giannone-Grady and Anna De Dona. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Joshua, Sophia, Daiva and Siena
Visiting will be on Thursday April 21, 2022 from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 22, 2022 St. Luke's Church at 9:15am, arrive at funeral home at 8:30am. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753 is in charge of arrangements.

Ever happy to see you, Joe always greeted with a big smile.
