Visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, with services starting at 5:00 pm.
He is survived by his significant other, Natalie Cheramie; sons, Nicholas Parfait (Danielle) and Jacob Parfait; step-children, Kelci Prestenbach, Jaice Prestenbach and Cami Lucas; grandchild, Audrina Faith Parfait; brothers, Antoine "Pe-Funk" Parfait, Jr. (Pam) and Rodney Parfait (Lana); sisters, Gracie Verdin (Paul), Lucretia "Baby-Doo" McDonald, and Maxine Parfait; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine "Clarence" Parfait, Sr. and Pearl Gregoire Parfait. Fiancée, Pamela Duplantis
Mike "Solo" Parfait was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loving, kind, and very generous. Mike was a hard worker, loved fishing, landscaping, playing pool, and enjoyed life to the fullest. He also enjoyed doing artwork and would give it as gifts to friends, co-workers, the nurses that would take care of him at the hospital. Mike had a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, and whom lives he touched.
The family would love to thank Dr. Dickie Haydel, Dr. Jukes, Dr. Maidoh, and Haydel Memorial Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to him. Also Logan, Uncle Julius, and Tina for all the kindness they have given him. Lastly, the family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well-wishes during this difficult time, as well as everyone's support.
There will be a crowdfunding to his Go Fund Me account which donations can be accepted at https://gofund.me/260c277a. Donations can also be accepted by calling the Samart Funeral Home on West Park main office.
