Joshua Baryaruha

Joshua Alex Baryaruha, who went to be with the Lord on July 30th, 2024, at the age of 29 was born on April 4th, 1995, in Toledo, Ohio, to his loving parents, Eltham and Apophia Baryaruha.
Joshua's early years were spent in Toledo, where he attended St. Martin de Porres, later known as Englewood Peace Academy, for his elementary education. He was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, where he excelled academically and showcased his talents. Joshua continued his education at the University of Toledo, where he pursued collegiate studies before embarking on a career at FedEx.
Joshua was known for his adventurous spirit and his thrill for any athletic challenges. Whether on the basketball court, where his athleticism shone brightly, or in life, Joshua never shied away from a new experience or an opportunity to compete. His family and admirers often marveled at his skills and talents, which made him seem almost invincible. His love for learning and his intellectual curiosity were evident in his engaging conversations, often inspiring others with his insights and perspectives.
Joshua was a devoted son, always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, especially his beloved mother, Apophia. He found joy in assisting her and was known for his hardworking and helpful nature. His warmth and sense of humor made him a beloved member of his family and community. Joshua was also deeply involved in his church, participating in the NIA Youth group and church basketball tournaments.
Joshua was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Apophia Baryaruha, who passed away on March 21, 2024. He leaves behind his father, Eltham Baryaruha, and his siblings: Priscilla, Penlope, Yvonne, Steven, Abraham, Karen, and Caleb. He will be dearly missed by his niece, Chloe, and his nephews, David and Aaron. Joshua's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. He will be remembered for his kind heart and warming presence. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love, thrill, and joy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A Visitation will be held at St. Martin De Porres Church, 1119 W. Bancroft St., Toledo on Saturday, August 17th from 9:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
