Joshua "Josh" Brandon Smith

Joshua “Josh” Brandon Smith, 36 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on August 12, 2025.

He was born on December 27, 1988 in Mobile, AL to Samuel “Sam” and Jamie Smith. He was a graduate of Pascagoula High School. He attained his BSN from William Carey and was actively working towards a Doctorate Degree from LSU. He was employed as an RN in the ICU at Ocean Springs Hospital, then he began CRNA school at LSU in New Orleans. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, furniture restoration, music, darts, and motorcycle riding.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emerald Smith, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Rhyannen Majo-Smith; parents, Sam and Jamie Smith; grandmother, Elizabeth Nell Smith; daughters, Victoria “Tori” and Aviah Smith; son, Kullen Smith; stepson, Rhyland Hanberry; siblings, Hayley Smith; brother-in-law, Branden Majo; sisters-in-law, Jorden Majo and Sonia Kapoor; and pets, Freya.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Josh’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Mosaic Church, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit one hour prior.
