Joyce Highsmith Obituary
Joyce N Highsmith, age 87, passed away Wed, July 19, 2023. Born in Chicago, IL on January 4, 1936. Joyce was a Jackson Township resident for many years. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Ron Torii, and husband, Gerald Highsmith. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Schneider (Michael Zivkovic) of Naperville, IL and Lisa (Brian) McConnell of Jackson Twp. She has four surviving grandchildren as well as two great-grandchildren. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services. She will be interned at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. I knew Joyce from the TOPS club. She always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed.

Lisa and family,
I always looked forward to seeing Joyce come into the office.

Joyce was a wonderful , cheerful, inspiring neighbor. As I was trimming a Wiegelia shrub at the back of the yard when I was about 16, in the 1980's. She walked over and helped me to understand that different plants have different growth habits. She was always a blessing to be around. Thanks for the memories.
