Juanita Pearl Huntsman, 90, of Zanesville, died at 10:43 A.M. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Genesis Hospice Morrison-House. She was born May 20, 1935, in Somerfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Gordon) Moore. Juanita was a natural caretaker and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the Meadow Farm Church, she loved gardening, and when she wasn’t cooking and cleaning she found joy in crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Julia Elson) Huntsman; three daughters, Debra Sue (Gary Clowser) Searls, Sheila (Mike) Flynn, and Diana (Willie) Taylor; grandchildren, Lisa, Phillip, Erin, Brad, Renee, Brooke and Logan; great grandchildren, Ian, Kylie, Owen, Tatum, Destiny, Sedona, Cyaira, Hadley, Airyanna, Echo, Clementine, Brinley, Layla, Brielle, and Sofia; sister, Marlene Harding; brother, Dave Moore; sisters-in-law, Linda Moore and Mary (William) Downey and many loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Jerry Huntsman whom she married December 31, 1951; sister, Jean Taylor; brother, Larry Moore; her grandson, Zachary Sawyers.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service starting at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Jerry, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Genesis Hospice at, 713 Forest Ave. Zanesville, OH. 43701 or the Meadow Farm Church at 6015 Coopermill Rd. Zanesville, OH. 43701.
