Ms. Juanita "Coco" Jones, 41, of Waterbury, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Jones was born on December 18, 1982, in Danbury, CT, a daughter to Charles Ray Jones of West Haven and the late Beverly Marie (Diggs) Jones.
Juanita was educated in the Waterbury Public School System where she graduated from Wilby High School. She continued her education receiving a certification as a CNA. She was a beloved figure in her community and a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant, profoundly committed to her patients throughout New Haven County. This career allowed her to exemplify her nurturing spirit not only in her profession but also in her personal life. Juanita was a naturally giving individual who was always ensuring the well-being of her family and friends. "Coco" as she was affectionately called, found joy in making her own jewelry and creating themed parties for holiday events. Her creative side was amazing and she loved activities that showcased her creative and meticulous nature. Her sense of humor was as big as her giving heart. You were guaranteed to laugh and joke with her. As a youngster she established a strong relationship with God. She attended New Hope Baptist Church in Danbury until the family relocated to Waterbury. While living in Waterbury, she attended Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through her commitments and community service. Above all that was Juanita, the thing she enjoyed most in life and prided herself in, was being an amazing mom and that she was. Her three children were her life. Her kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father and aunt Denise Diggs, whom raised her as her own after the death of her mother when Juanita was very young, she leaves to celebrate her memory her partner and children's father, Tommy Beamon Jr., their children; Kaylynn, A'Riah, and Tommy III, siblings; Kesha (Dexter) Bennett of Maryland, Charles Valentine Jones of Waterbury, Alondus (Shirret) Jones of Paterson, NJ, Jason Jones of New Haven, CT, Derek Mayo of Waterbury, Anthony Spruill of Waterbury, Tawanna "Muffin" Brown of Danbury, CT, a host of aunts including maternal aunt; Hazel Diggs of Waterbury, great aunt; Betty (Gene) Jaynes of Bristol CT., uncles, several cousins; including Clarence (Dagian) Diggs of Waldorf Maryland, Raheem Diggs of Danbury CT and Chloe Diggs of Waterbury, who were raised together as siblings, many nieces, nephews, beloved in laws Donna Beamon, Samone Beamon and Precious Moore of Waterbury and a host of friends.
