French Funerals & Cremations - Lomas & EubankJudith Ann Neal, affectionately known to her loved ones as Judy, was a beacon of light and love who left this world for her eternal home on October 5, 2025. Judy was born on March 13, 1945, in Beardstown, Illinois, to the late Jack and Mary White. She was a cherished sister to Phil White and Jacqueline Sanders. Her legacy continues through her sons, Mike Neal (Paula) and Mark Neal (Jordan); and her adored grandchildren, Ean, Spencer, and Crosby Neal.
Judy's journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith and her dedication to serving others. A true servant leader, she followed her calling into the nursing profession, earning her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and her Master of Nursing from the University of Evansville. Her compassion and skill led her to touch many lives as a nurse at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque, as a Nurse Specialist for Maternal Child Health at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY, and as a Nurse Educator at the University of Kentucky. Her passion for children's wellbeing shone brightly as she co-founded the Action for Children team through United Way, focusing on the prevention of child abuse. In recognition of her outstanding service and heart for others, Judy was honored as Nurse of the Year in 1991.
Judy's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived a life epitomized by the scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Her commitment to spreading God's love extended beyond borders as she participated in medical missions in Uganda with Samaritan's Purse. Judy's hands, which provided healing and comfort to those in need, were also often seen clasped in prayer, whether in her own personal Bible study or while leading others closer to the heart of God.
Her joyful spirit and enthusiasm for life were contagious. Judy brought smiles to many faces while playing Mexican Train Dominoes with her friends. But it was the precious moments spent with her grandchildren that she treasured the most. Each memory, each embrace, each story told, was a thread in the beautiful tapestry of her life.
As we celebrate Judy's life, we are reminded that her love and teachings are seeds planted in the hearts of all who knew her, seeds that will continue to grow and bear fruit in her absence. Judy's departure from this world was one of peace, passing away in Dayton, Ohio, of natural causes. Her life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of faith, and the beauty of service to others.
