Mrs. Julie Elizabeth Harvell Pettus, age 55, of Fort Mill, S.C., passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at her home.The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Indian Land. The funeral ceremony will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Jacobs officiating. The burial will be at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Indian Land.A Fort Mill native, Julie was a daughter of the late Hattie Roberts Harvell. She was the owner of her own residential cleaning service, Southern Dusters. Julie enjoyed working in her yard, especially planting flowers, refurbishing furniture, playing video games, and coloring by number.Surviving are her children, Christine Jacobs (Paul) of Rock Hill and Nick Hepfer (Sarah) of Catawba; her significant other, Earl Smith, Jr. of Rock Hill; her siblings, Troy Harvell (Lisa), Wanda Merritt, Lisa Dayton, William Harvell (Michele) and Shane Harvell (Jennifer). Also surviving are her six grandchildren who she adored and loved spending time with: Hayden, Caylin, Sophia, Emma, Kai, and Mazzini.
