Karen Bacorn, 59, of Canton, passed away Monday, October 6th, at Rose Lane Nursing Home. Born in Canton on January 5, 1966, a daughter of the late Roy and Leona (Norman) Bacorn. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Bob Bacorn. Karen attended Akron University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She was truly a character in every sense of the word. She had a personality that couldn't be ignored. Whether she was calling out "Bingo!" with unmatched enthusiasm, Karen loved being the center of attention, and we all loved giving it to her. Karen loved animals and she loved church. Faith was a cornerstone of Karen's life. She found joy, strength, and connection in her church family, and her spirit will live on in the hymns she sang and the pew she always claimed as her own. Survived by 2 sons Zachary Bacorn, Michael Bacorn; 2 sisters Linda Umstead, Peggy Atkinson; brother Danny Bacorn; 7 grandchildren Marissa, Savannah, Lil Zach, Adam, Macie, Kody, Michael Jr.; a great-granddaughter; as well as other loving family members and friends.
