Kayla Marie Gordon

Kayla Marie Gordon, 30, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Kayla was born in Peoria on August 14, 1995, to Jeffrey Gordon and Amanda Ward. Her mother preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her grandparents: Ruth Gordon, Pleasant Gordon Jr., and Robert Ward Jr.; and great-grandfather Robert Ward Sr.
Surviving are her father, Jeffrey, and second mother, Sheri Gordon; brother, Koby (Wendi) Ward; nephew, Kato Ward; grandmother, Pam Bodish; great-grandmother, Etta Ward; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her boyfriend, Kyle Krofchik.
Kayla graduated from Richwoods High School with the class of 2014.
She always looked forward to curling up with a good book, watching her favorite reality TV shows, and spending a warm, sunny day at the beach. She held a special place in her heart for all of the dogs that she had growing up, and enjoyed playing with them, chasing them around, and cuddling with them.
Kayla was a silly person who loved to sing and dance and make those around her smile. Her smile was contagious, and it easily lit up a room. She had so much love to give, and her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for Kayla will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the funeral set to begin at noon. Jay Pearson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria. A repass will be held at SLÉ, located at 1112 W. Pioneer Pkwy. in Peoria, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
