It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith D. Rabideau, 69, who departed from this world on Monday, April 1, 2024 at his home in Harrisville, embraced by his unwavering faith. Keith and his beloved wife, Jayne M. (Baxter) Rabideau, were married on March 31, 1979, and had just celebrated their 45th anniversary. Born in Providence, he was the oldest son of his late parents, Philip and Pauline (Bessette) Rabideau.
For many years, Keith worked as a cook at Zambarano Hospital in Pascoag, but after some time, his job became taking care of his family. In addition to his cherished wife, Jayne, Keith leaves his eldest son Gerren Rabideau and fiancée Jessica Truxillo of Jenks, OK along with their children Joshua and Adelina. Keith leaves another son Ryan Rabideau and his wife Julia Monaghan of Salem, MA; and a daughter Michelle Martin along with her husband Dan of Tolland, CT.
Keith's presence will also be deeply missed by his brother, Scott P. Rabideau of Pascoag, and his sisters: Cheryl A. Curtis of Glendale, AZ; Kelly C. Hammerschlag of Putnam, CT; and Lisa M. Rabideau of Harrisville.
Keith was a man of diverse passions and talents. He found immense joy in his hobbies including restoring antique radios, each one a testament to his love for preserving the past. He often remarked that he was born in the wrong decade. His soul resonated with the timeless melodies of oldies music, and he could often be found singing along to his favorite tunes. Few things brought him as much delight as turning up the volume in his Subaru Brat while driving around town or riding his Panzer tractor, whose engine he said played "Build me up Buttercup" all on its own. He engaged in regular card games with family and earned a reputation for his daring bids in blouette. Keith's love extended not only to his family but also to his beloved pets, particularly his late dog, Chewy, who held a special place in his heart.
With a heart as vast as his sense of humor, Keith had a gift for finding joy in the simplest of moments. He loved nothing more than making himself laugh and brightening the lives of those around him with his humor. His knack for giving people nicknames was a reflection of his boundless affection and playful spirit.
In addition to his numerous interests, Keith's life was enriched by his appearances in several films, including "The Polka King," "Son of Frankenstein," and "Saving Christmas."
A Mass of Christian Burial for Keith will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11 AM in St. Patrick's Church, 45 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Pascoag. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 9 from 4 to 7 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag.

Now that I am back working at the Brothers again, sometimes I sit on the loading dock and imagine Keith and Chewy passing by. How I miss that.
