In Loving Memory of Kenneth Eugene "Cookie" Tyson January 26, 1963 – August 3, 2025 Kenneth Eugene Tyson, affectionately known to all as "Cookie," passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side at Country Lane Manor in Keosauqua, Iowa. Born on January 26, 1963, in Iowa City, IA, Cookie was the cherished son of Joe Wille and Mary Linda (Sanders) Tyson. From a young age, Cookie had a spark that lit up every room he entered. His passion for cars and music was unmistakable, whether he was fixing an engine with expert hands or dancing to his favorite tunes. Cookie's energy was infectious. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and attended Central High School in Davenport, Iowa. Cookie later joined the United States Marine Corps in 1980. He would later move to Taylor, Mississippi, where he worked as a mechanic by trade. He worked in construction and cared for his mother until his illness. Cookie's presence brought joy to family gatherings, celebrations, and even quiet moments. He was the life of the party, but more importantly, he was the heart of it. He is survived by his loving children and grandchildren: Monique Tyson-Daniels and her husband Jerrick, along with their sons Jrue and Jaxn; Kendrick Tyson and his wife Nicole, and their daughters Jaelyn and Toriegh, and son Kahtai; Bria Tyson and her sons Ar'Marion and Ahmir, and daughter Armani; Kiante Tyson; Keyshovianna Tyson and her daughter Keterrianna; and Raheem Houston and his children Zyquan, Torrien, Rymeir, Ramiyah, Royalty, Aniylah, Raziah, Raheem, Ryion, and R'Monte and daughter Britta Allen. Cookie also leaves behind his brothers, Wille Tyson and Teddy Tyson, as well as his sisters, Julie Brassell and Amelia Bates; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Wille and Mary Linda Tyson, step-father Jimmie Bates, and his sister Jolinda Tyson. Cookie's legacy lives on through the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories that family and friends will treasure forever. Services to honor Cookie's life will be held on 08/23/25 from 2-5 pm. at The Columbus Club at 1111 W 35th St, Davenport, IA 52806. May he rest
