PETTY OFFICER 1ST CLASS KEVIN MICHAEL ROBERTS
Petty Officer First Class Kevin Michael Roberts Passed Away on February 10, while stationed in Washington state, Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island. He is the son of Kristine Cheree Morrow, of Houston, Texas and Kevin Paul Roberts and stepmother Patricia Rhea Roberts of Dayton. Texas.
Kevin was born on July 22,1986 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Clear Lake High School in Houston in the May of 2005.
Kevin joined the Navy in 2008. He worked on a variety of aircraft while serving in the Navy and was able to tour the world, and served his country on many deployments. His accomplishments in the Navy were many. He established many long- lasting relationships while serving in the Navy.
First and foremost, Kevin loved his late "Best Friend", compadre, protector Marlin, a Pit Bull mix, and missed him very much. Kevin loved working on aircraft, and old vehicles, and everything. His favorite aircraft to work on was the P3 Orion.
Kevin loved his family and always looked forward to Hanging Out with family when he was on leave from the military. Many people that knew Kevin would say that when Kevin heard the P3 Orion power up, or fly overhead he would say, "That's The
Sound of Freedom Baby!"
He was an avid Fisherman and knew just about every species of fish, he had a fascination with Straight Line Fishing and would always talk about the MONSTER fish he would one day catch. Kevin loved adventure and the outdoors and traveling around the country with his sister and mother and watch his nephews play baseball. Kevin impacted everyone he knew and everyone he met with his Sweet Soul and his Beautiful Smile, and his Cool-Calm-Collect disposition.
Kevin is survived by his loving sister, Virginia Roselle Roberts; stepbrothers, Christopher Braeden Savage and Christian Gunner Savage; nephews, Christopher and Bentley Roberts of Houston TX, and grandparents, William and Virginia Jacks of Houston and Carole DeBarro of Florence Oregon, and all of his loving aunts, uncles and cousins across the country.
Kevin was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, leader, mentor, listener and friend. RIP Kevin.
May God Rest Your Soul!
