Kimberly was a proud 1984 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School. For 29 years, she worked as a cook at Hillsboro High School, serving as head cook for the last five years. She loved her job and the many students and staff whose lives she touched each day.
Kimberly lived her life with a generous heart and a giving spirit. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Hardworking, selfless, and dedicated, she put her whole heart into everything she did.
Above all, Kimberly's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a treasured sister. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she spent every moment she could making memories with them. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Michael "Peppy" Collins whom she married in 1985; her mother, Peggy House of Hillsboro; two children, Jonathan (Shawna) Collins of Hillsboro and Sarah (Adam) Goldberg of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Claire, Eleanor and Lillian; twin sister, Karen (Dan) Chambers and sister, Kathy (Sam) Taynor; niece, Jessica Gipson; nephew, Kenny Gipson; great nieces and nephews, Rayden Gipson, Maya Burchett, Peyton Burchett, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul House in 2004.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 17, 2025, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place following visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Strange Cemetery.
