Kirk Pavlovic Obituary
Kurt Ronald Pavlovic - "Lefty" to his former teammates - was called Home on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Kurt was born on March 25, 1970 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of Ronald and the late Charlotte Pavlovic of Dillonvale, Ohio. Kurt was a 1988 graduate of Buckeye South High School. An avid athlete, he excelled at many sports, but there was nothing he loved more than the game of baseball. As a pitcher, he recalled into adulthood his best games, no-hitters, and who in the Ohio Valley couldn't get around on his fastball. His love of sports remained as he became a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh franchise: the Penguins, the Steelers and, of course, the Pirates. He loved nature, working outside, visits with old friends in his hometown and, above all else, his family. He had the biggest heart you'd ever hope to find in someone. Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Pavlovic, who undoubtedly met her son with open arms. Surviving are son William of Columbus; Father Ronald of Dillonvale; sisters Cindy (Ed) of Dillonvale and Ronee (Rich) of Columbus; nephew Matt Roshak of Columbus; nieces Tara Richards of Pittsburgh, Brandi (Jade) Waligura of Colerain, and Halli (Keegan) Driscoll of Norfolk; great-nieces Charlotte and Eloise Driscoll; and great-nephew Jack, who arrived just three days before his 54th birthday. A memorial service is being planned for a later date in Dillonvale, Ohio. Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Assisting the family.
