Mrs. Lana Rae King Setliff, Age 71, of Pineville, LA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024. She entered eternal rest alongside her loving husband, of more than 25 years, Mitchell Setliff.
A time of visitation and memorial honoring Lana will be held on Friday, January 10, 2024, from 1 to 3pm at Gallagher Funeral Home. The service will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home.
Lana is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lulu Mae Terrell King and sister, Beverly King Barkley (Don).
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving children, Russ Kees (Jaclyn) and Deanna Kees Cardwell (Chad); grandchildren, Noah Morace, Hannah Morace Soreide (Hunter), Luke Morace, Olivia Kees, Camryn Vaughn, and Evan Vaughn; and sister, Carline Kimbro.
Lana was born in Alexandria in August of 1953 to Carl and Lula Mae King. She was a graduate of Pineville High School, Class of 1971. She dedicated many years as a stay-at-home mother, worked in the fashion industry, even owning Sashay fashion store in Pineville, LA, and served for 20+ years as a bookkeeper and Louisiana Notary. Lana was selfless and of a strong faith and was known for her witty and lighthearted sense of humor even through several bouts with cancer and following a single leg amputation late in life. She enjoyed crafting, thrifting, sewing and decorating. Lana was a loving wife, mother, sister, an ever-doting grandmother, and a sympathetic and non-judgmental friend to any and all in need.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Stillwater Hospice, and all their personnel, for the comfort and care they assisted her in providing for her husband over the last several years.
