To the family: Sometimes you meet people and they touch your life in some way. Well, Lari touched mine. I admired her so. She never complained. She would always be reading a book when I entered her room. I once told her, she reminded me of my own daughter. She was a beautiful young lady. These are my memories of her. They make me smile and be happy our paths crossed. I pray you preserve all the happy memories of Lari and may The Father give you peace in your time of sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your beautiful daughter. I never knew her or the family, just reading her obituary bought tears to my eyes; she accomplished so much in such a short time. I have to say God has bigger and better plans for her. I know you have a large void in your life. God will feel this in time, although it seems impossible. Lari is the golden thread in God's plan. You will be blest with wonderful memories, you can go to meet her someday where together you're stroll hand in hand on the streets of gold. My prayers are with you and for you during this time. May God Bless each and everyone of you.
Keep your faith friend and stay strong in him!

I am so sorry for your loss, Lari was an exceptional person. We became friends in Jackson-Via and more recently I would see her in the kidney center in the evenings, even after enduring treatment she would always be in a good mood. She was an inspiration to all before and during her illness. She was truly one of a kind and she will be greatly missed.

To the spinner family, I'm so sorry for the lost of your beautiful daughter, I did not know her but the description of her sound like she was a beautiful person inside and out and had a purpose for life and although the time here was short God has a better plan for her that would include everything she learned here on earth and now she would inspired many others from above.

I was Key Club President which Lari was a member of during our high school days at CHS. She was an amazing person with a big heart and one that I could always count on to lead community service projects even with her already-busy schedule. This girl gave more of her heart than most people do in a lifetime. She was a gem and an amazing person and she will be missed. Lari, you are in our hearts always.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Lari Spinner. Lari was great person inside and out. I first meet Lari in Girls Scouts and our friendship lasted throughout the years. I reminder revealing the fact that she was my support through our school days and she informed me that I was hers. Our last meeting was shared at a local restaurant where we caught up on more events in our lives. There are countless times when we shared thoughts and feelings. She would always listen and say "Juanika, I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything but it sounds like..." I loved that! I heart is full sadness now, but I know she is with the lord and she isn't in anymore pain. I want to thank the family for creating such a beautiful individual who was full of faith and shared it with others.
Thank you,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am so sorry to hear about Lari's passing. I remember befriending Lari during my Freshman year at Baldwin. I have fond memories of hanging out in her room with Adrianne and Kenya and getting together to take pictures when digital cameras were the "new" thing. I will never forget her laugh and her beautiful smile. God has called another one of His Angel's home but he has left us a Comforter in Jesus. She is in a much better place now and I am happy to have known Lari for the short time I did.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Lari Spinner. Lari was my advisee when she first came to Mary Baldwin. I was truly saddened to hear of her passing. She was on campus last year and she sent me the sweetest message. Even in the face of a chronic illness, she was always an inspiration to her Mary Baldwin sisters. I remember when she returned to the campus after a lengthy illness ready to take the hills by storm. She will be deeply missed. On behalf of the all of the young women embraced by the Office of African American and Multicultural Affairs, please accept our heartfelt sympathy and prayers. And remember, pain may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Rev. Andrea Cornett-Scott, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Mary Baldwin College

Dear Spinner Family:
It was truely an honor to have become friends with Lari (My Guardian Angel) and her family. She always had a smile on her face that brought the same to everyone else.
She was a very caring and thoughtful person. There were times at work, that I thought could get NO WORSE and their LARI would come in with a CARD and some type of ANGEL, showing me just how much she appreciated everything I had done for her, and that made all my problems seem so small compared to what she was going thru in her everyday life. Lari was a true inspiration to others. I will never forget that smile. I will deeply miss "My Guardian Angel".
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss....my mother in law "Thelma" works with you at GE and told me about your daughter roughly 10 years ago after my own diagnosis with lupus. Lari was kind enough to tell me about herself and her own struggles...she was attending college at the time. Your daughter gave me hope....and uplifted my outlook on this disease that people struggle with each day. She was a very positive person and I know you and your family are very proud of her. May God bless you and your family during this very difficult time.

To the Family,
I am Thankful that I had the pleasure of being friends with such a dear person. Lari and my sister Juanika were cheerleaders together, and I remember the two of them practicing and Lari always saying " Does my lipstick look okay." Lari was a great person, always with a smile on her face. I will never forget all the times when we would see you out and we would stop and chat, and always give each other a hug. You will be missed but never forgotten.
Until we meet again.
