Larry Alan Legg passed peacefully on September 19th, 2025.
Larry was born on October 22, 1941 to Frank and Pearle Legg. He grew up on their family farm in Philomath Oregon and graduated from Philomath High School in 1960.
Larry spent most of his adult life as an Antique, Gold, Silver & Collectible dealer at his local Corvallis business, The Gold Dust. You could find him any given weekend at the local flea market or estate sale, he loved a bargain!
In 1996 Larry married Margie Vivanco in Virginia City, NV and they along with her two kids, settled at the family farm. After their divorce in 2019 they remained great friends as they paved new separate paths. Margie was the love of his life and he never let a conversation go by without reminding her of it.
Larry loved all his children and grandchildren dearly, but his most precious love was his ‘baby’, his granddaughter, Mia Hinchberger. They formed an incredible bond the moment she was born and she was truly the light of his life. They spent much of her childhood together and shared a deep connection and love for animals and nature. They enjoyed every precious moment and conversation together over the years.
Larry loved all animals, especially his dog Toto. He loved his wife, family, Beaver football, and Diet Coke. His life was truly fulfilled on the family farm with his family, animals and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Legg in 1967 and Pearle Whiting in 2014. Larry’s survivors include his children Kandis (Daniel) Hinchberger, Brandon (Brittany) Graves, Larry Alan Bergstrom, and Debra Hunter. Grandchildren Mia and Ela Hinchberger, Hunter and Owen Graves, Deven and Sydney Hunter. Sister Barbara Harris.
