In Loving Memory of Loretta M. Ptak
May 26, 1945 – July 1, 2025
Loretta M. Ptak, age 80, of Hanover Park, IL, passed away peacefully and entered Heaven on July 1, 2025.
Born on May 26, 1945, Loretta lived a full and loving life centered around family, kindness, and an open heart. She is survived by her devoted daughter Carrie; cherished granddaughters Amber and Ashley; precious great-granddaughter Ava; and her loving sister Nancy. She was also a proud and deeply loving grandmother to her adopted grandchildren: Jonathon, Jacob, Hannah, Anthony, Brooke, and Taniya—each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Loretta was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, four sisters—Adeline, Patty, Deloris, and Tootsi—and her brother Johnny.
An avid reader and devoted Cubs fan, Loretta loved nothing more than watching or attending Cubs games and playing her favorite casino games on her phone. Her home was always open, and she lived by the belief that everyone deserved love and a place to belong. She treated everyone who walked through her door as family—and many became just that.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salerno’s Rosedale Funeral Chapel in Roselle, IL. A morning service will follow on Wednesday, July 9, from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, before a procession to St. Isidore Catholic Church in Carol Stream, IL. Afterward, all are invited to a luncheon at Spavone’s Restaurant in Bloomingdale to celebrate Loretta’s life.
Loretta’s love, generosity, and joyful spirit will be miss
