Levona Heller

Levona Gaye Heller, 89, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on May 24, 1934 in Wichita Falls, Texas daughter of Erwin and Vesta (Bowen) Martin. Gaye was a retired teacher assistant from Hazelwood School district in St. Louis, Missouri after many years of dedicated service. She was a Catholic member of faith and enjoyed watching her sports and she especially liked Notre Dame football and the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed reading, entertaining and cooking for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents Gaye was preceded in death by her husband, John Heller; son, James Heller; twin sister, Lenona. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Hucker (Michael); son Marty Heller; along with two grandchildren, Luke and Amy.
Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
