It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Lisa E. (Claybrooke) Herendeen, 62, of Evansville, IN, on June 12th, 2025. A beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, sister, aunt and treasured friend. Lisa touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, generosity, kindness, and unwavering love.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ron, her beloved son, Braden, who was truly the light of her life; mother, Elaine (Curtis) Cross; mother-in-law, Dixie Herendeen; sisters, Tammy (Steve) Moll and Angie (Brian) Varner; brother, Shane (Lebra) Claybrooke; sister-in-law, Kim Herendeen; nieces, Amanda (Adam) Bennett, Hannah Varner, and Anna Moll; nephews, Collin Varner, Tyler Moll, and Caleb Moll; great-niece-and-nephew, Madelyn and Archie Bennett; her dear lifelong friends, Randy and Kelley Borman and their children, Courtnie and Wesley. Lisa's family was her world, and she poured her heart into every moment shared with them.
She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Claybrooke; father-in-law, Bob Herendeen; and her sweet dog, Mercy.
Lisa had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved. Her laughter could fill a room, and her strength and compassion lifted those around her. Whether you were family, a friend, or someone she had just met, she had a way of making you feel like you mattered.
Lisa was a talented interior designer whose creativity and eye for beauty brought warmth and elegance into countless homes. She poured her heart into her work, founding her own store, Serendipity Designs & Decor - a dream she turned into reality through years of hard work and passion. Her ability to transform spaces was matched only by her gift for making others feel at home. Her designs were more than just decor-they were reflections of the love and care she carried in every part of her life.
Outside of work, Lisa was a devoted member of Christian Fellowship Church and passionately volunteered at Cancer Pathways.
She will be deeply missed by her extended family, her many dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A service to celebrate Lisa's life will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Nathan Hazel and Pastor Dale Beaver officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lisa's memory to Cancer Pathways, 5740 Vogel Rd., Evansville, IN 47715.
Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until service time on Wednesday at Browning Funeral Home.
Her love will live on in every life she touched.
