Lois Larsen Obituary

Visit the Myers Mortuary & Cremation Services - Ogden website to view the full obituary.
I, Lois Larsen, standing straight and tall, walking easily once again, turned my face heavenward and departed this life today, September 25, 2025. To be with my loved ones gone on before me.

A birth certificate proved I was born, a journal proves I was here. I was born May 22, 1933 weighing in at 11.5 pounds to Russell and DueElla Egan in Smithfield, Cache, Utah.

The luckiest day of my life was when I met and later married Alan H. Larsen on September 8, 1949 in Ogden, Utah. He treated me like a queen every day of our marriage. Our marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Alan was the light of my life in which we shared a very special bond and was my very best friend. Alan passed away May 14, 2022.

My interests were spending 13 years in Yuma, Arizona enjoying the warm air, sunsets, desert walks, swimming, biking, sharing our thoughts by the lakes, walking down life's little paths, sometimes so hard and other times so joyful.

I loved my God and my church and served various callings in the LDS Church. I enjoy having my whole family around me, laughing when they laughed and crying when they cried, and always had deep concerns for their happiness. I was a "stay at home mom" and enjoyed it all, always having the cookie jar full after school.

Alan and I had four beautiful children who we cherish, Reggie K. Larsen (South Ogden), Shelly K. Larsen (deceased), Kelly L. Larsen (deceased), and Terry A Larsen (Farr West). Four grandsons, Cody, Justin (deceased), Zac, Christopher, and two great-grandchildren Mathew and Kelly. My sisters Cleo Thompson and Connie Brown, along with my father and mother are all deceased, leaving me an orphan.

I couldn't have made it without humor. Sometimes life was like trying to herd cats, but with the Lord's help I made it through. Thanks Ann and Arliss for helping me through.

I have now placed my last rock on my Charlie's Monument. I have been a mere droplet in a moonlit sea, but some of the droplets do sparkle. I hope to have been one that sparkles. No need to give me flowers, instead give someone you care about a pretty one and will you please tell them it's from me?

A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden Utah, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden, Utah.
