Lois graduated from Lubbock High School and Texas Tech, majoring in Food and Nutrition. Shortly after graduation, she married B. Randolph Swindle. When their children, Deborah and Nathan, were older, Lois returned to school and became a registered nurse. She worked in private practice and for a longer period of time as a school nurse in Slaton schools.
Throughout the years, Lois was a volunteer in numerous ways in the Lubbock community and very involved with her church, First Christian Church.
Lois is survived by her children Deborah Blake and husband Wells, Nathan Swindle and wife Julie, grandchildren Catherine Swindle, Ben Swindle, Sam Swindle and wife Lauren, and Emily Blake.
A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1:30 pm. Memorial gifts may be made to First Christian Church or Meals on Wheels. The family wants to extend their gratitude to the staff at Tanglewood for their compassion and kindness and to Beyond Faith Hospice.
