Loretta "Lori" J. Rezendes, 84, of East Falmouth, passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital (CCH) on June 28, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Rezendes.
Lori graduated from Wareham High School. She later married and settled down in Falmouth with the love of her life whom she shared 52 years with.
She worked as the Assistant Assessor of the Town of Falmouth for 30 years until her retirement. She was a dedicated parishioner at St. Anthony's Church in East Falmouth where she also taught CCD lessons.
Lori loved painting, playing the piano and the arts. She was an avid cook who never ceased to put on feast for her family during the major holidays. She enjoyed travelling the world with her "Joe" to Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Hawaii, The Netherlands, and Mexico to name some. She cherished spending quality time with those closest to her. Lori was a loving Sister, Aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Lori is survived by her nephew Shawn of East Falmouth, her sister Barbara Baptiste of Wareham, her brother Frank Baptiste of New Bedford, her dear cousin Penny of Wareham and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Chapman Funerals 475 Main St. Falmouth on Sunday July 6, 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Church 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth on Monday July 7, 2025 at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses who cared for her at CCH.
