Obituary of Lori Fuehner
Lori Ann [Simpson] Fuehner, 55, of Independence, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 after courageously fighting a long term illness. Lori was born to Leroy "Lee" Simpson and Mary Lee [Wainscott] Simpson at St. Elizabeth in Covington, KY on January 30, 1969.
Lori and her family were parishioners at St. Cecilia in Independence, KY; where she attended elementary and middle school. She went on to Simon Kenton High School, played softball and was a member of the color guard. Lori was a proud graduate of Northern Kentucky University and worked many years in the IT department at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
Above all else, Lori enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting her three children in all their extracurricular activities: softball, baseball, volleyball, hockey and (sometimes) dirt bike racing. Lori's most cherished memories included family trips to Gatlinburg, camping, and the beach. She enjoyed going above and beyond to make every holiday special and memorable for her kids.
A loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and mama, Lori is survived by her three loving children: Kahlee (Josh), Colten, and Casey; her father: Leroy "Lee" Simpson; siblings: Lisa (Shane) Ryle, Gregory (Ralna) Simpson, and Holly (Michael) Chatterton; 6 nieces and 3 nephews.
Lori was greeted in Heaven by her mother, Mary Lee Simpson and uncle, Richard "Rick" Wainscott.
A visitation will be held between 8 AM and 10 AM with a memorial mass to follow immediately after at 10 AM on Tuesday, April 23rd at St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church (4042 Turkeyfoot Rd, Erlanger, KY 41018). Lori will be laid to rest at St. Cecilia Cemetery (5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051). In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be made to the .
