Lorraine (Bettencourt) Consigli, 78, a resident of Medway for most of her life, died peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Born in Sao Miguel, Portugal on July 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Bella (Sousa) Bettencourt.
Lorraine grew up in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School.
Before her retirement, she worked as an administrative assistant for Commonwealth Gas Company for many years.
Lorraine enjoyed cooking, decorating her house, gardening and going out to eat, especially breakfast, with her high school friends. She had many different circles of friends and easily made and kept the relationships going throughout her life.
She is survived by her children Shelley John and her husband Steven of Dennis, David Consigli, Jr. and his wife Diane of Medway and Amy Sicard and her husband Steve of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Anthony, Lindsey and her husband Patrick, David and his wife Carly, Brianna, Julia, Nicole, Anthony and Natalie and three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Steven, and Chloe.
Lorraine also survived by two sisters, Mary Morrill and her husband Bob of Wrentham and Teddi Daley of North Attleboro, many nieces and nephews, and her former husband David Consigli, Sr. of Medway.
She was the sister of the late Manuel Bettencourt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 7 at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to the Brain Aneurism Foundation, www.bafound.org.
