Lynda L. McCombs, age 77, of Wooster, entered into rest on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice Life Care in Wooster where she was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 22, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Patricia (Campbell) Snelly and grew up in Lakewood, Ohio.
She had been a Holmes and Wayne County resident for most of her life.
Lynda was a devoted homemaker who also previously worked many years for several companies in the area where she created life long friendships.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping and visiting with her friends. She mostly loved spending time with her family and especially being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Barry (Amy) Roach, Jr. of Georgia, Timothy (Anne) Roach of Virginia and Melissa (Jason) Compton of Millersburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashli Roach, Meaghan (Keevan) Merrill, Nicholas Roach, Bralin Roach, Jason Compton, Ethan Roach and Mason Compton; a great-grandson, Parker Merrill; a brother, Jack (Debra) Aufrance of Florida.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ron Snelly and Jason Aufrance and her faithful canine companion "Holly".
A Celebration of Visitation commemorating Lynda's life will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 2 - 6 pm at Hilton Garden Inn Community Center, 959 Dover Rd. in Wooster for family and friends. Light refreshments will also be served.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is assisting the family.
