Lynn Alta Clark, a cherished wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on September 24, 1954, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Lynn lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others. She leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Lynn's early years were marked by a passion for education, a path she pursued diligently throughout her career. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Master's degree in education, laying the foundation for a remarkable journey in the field of teaching. Lynn devoted thirty years to Henderson County Schools, where she eventually retired as the Supervisor of Math and Science Education. Her commitment to nurturing young minds began on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, where she taught math for six impactful years. Her contributions to education were acknowledged by her peers when she was voted to the Henderson County Educator's Wall of Fame.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lynn was a woman of diverse interests and boundless energy. She had an adventurous spirit, planning trips to Arizona, Florida and frequent bus tours. An avid hiker, enthusiastic cook, and dedicated fitness enthusiast, Lynn was affectionately known as the "Jazzercise Queen" among friends. Her compassion extended beyond her personal pursuits, as evidenced by her unwavering support for local charitable organizations like the Blue Ridge Humane Society, where she worked for nine following her retirement.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Clara Rogers Clark. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Eddie Moses; her sister, Lucy Crawford; her brothers, Roger Clark and wife Barbara, and Ron Clark and wife Becky; as well as her nine nephews. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory close, honoring the love and joy she brought into their lives.

A celebration of Lynn's life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2025 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Dixon officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Four Seasons Hospice for the loving care and kindness they showed to not only Lynn but to her family as well during her final days.

Lynn Alta Clark's presence will be profoundly missed, but the warmth of her spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
