Maragret Kathryn Coburn, age 84 of Taneytown, MD died, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at BridgingLife formerly Dove House. Born February 21, 1940, in Philadelphia PA. She was the daughter of Francis and Margaret Eiser and was the loving wife of Bill Coburn for nearly 61 years.
Margaret was a loving stay-at-home mom caring for her husband and daughter, She loved all animals especially German Shepherd dogs. She enjoyed many things including movies, reading, gardening and doing crafts. She was a member of Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church for 16 years. She belonged to the church’s Oldies but Goodies Club. She was previously a member of Reisterstown United Methodist Church volunteering for the Mission of Mercy program before relocating to Taneytown. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by husband Bill, as well as by her daughter, Beth Ann Tudor and husband Mark, and Brazilian daughter, Rita Rufino, her dog, Brandi along with grand-dogs Bolt and Mosa and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church, 10926 Simmon’s Road, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with Pastors Mike Cantley and Heath Willson officiating. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. at the church until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Toms Creek UMC or Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue (MAGSR.ORG).
