Norwood Earl Tatum, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Saturday, December 4, 1954, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Norwood Earl Tatum Sr. and Elizabeth Clara Tatum née Newland. Norwood Jr. was the loving husband of Denise Kay Tatum née Ohler, whom he married on Saturday August 30, 1975.
Norwood graduated from Francis Scott Key High School in 1972, before working 6 months with Valley Crest Builders, 2 years with Mathias Monuments, 4 years at a Quarry, and his 44 year career as a tractor trailer driver. In his personal time, he loved taking trips on his motorcycle, riding with friends and family, and had been riding motorcycles since he was 9 years old. He had the unique ability to fix anything broken, loved spending time with his family and making memories with his grandchildren, and also loved to look at the beautiful night sky while driving in to work early in the morning. Additionally, faith in Jesus was an important aspect of Norwood’s life. While traveling the many miles as a tractor trailer driver, he would listen to many preachers and reflect on their message.
