Margaret Reimann Obituary

Published by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Edina from Nov. 24 to Nov. 25, 2013.
Reimann, Margaret "Miggs" Geelan age 87, died on Thursday, Nov. 21. Miggs was born in Sioux Falls, SD on Aug. 27, 1926. Survived by children, Peggy (Woody) Rash, Kathy (Randy) Weber, John (Alice) Reimann and Jeff (Heather) Reimann; 14 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, John Reimann and parents, Leo & Fredda Geelan; brothers, George and Tom. Miggs was a graduate of Washburn High School and the University of MN. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and spent many years serving as an advisor and house corporation member. A member of Our Lady of Grace Church for 58 years, Miggs loved her church, volunteering countless hours. High on her list of loves were sports. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Gophers, Twins and Vikings, and any team on which her grandchildren played. She could be found at most games and meets! As the matriarch of our family and the focal point of every celebration and holiday, her strength and devotion was inspiring. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the youth sports organization of your choice. Memorial service Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5071 Eden Av., Edina. www.Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996

We have fond memories of Miggs and her family. My mother, father, aunt and uncle all had such wonderful times with the Reimanns. I saw MIggs at my mothers and fathers funeral and she was still her warm, kind and gracious self. Blessings to her family and loved ones . Jan Holdahl McIntire

So sorry we could not be there today, but our thoughts and love are with you all. Many fond memories of times together, and appreciation for the friendship she shared with both mom and dad. Dad especially appreciated getting together with Miggs for a meal in the years after mom was gone. Jim and Lucy Radatz

My thoughts and prayers are going out to all of you today. I know if Dad and Ruth could've been at the service they would've. Ruth was saddened by hearing about Miggs. Hugs to you all. Hope you were able to find Over the Rainbow to play...love that song.
