Margie was born on September 16, 1964, in Talladega, Alabama, to the cherished union of Willie C. Dark and Thelma Brown Dark. A devoted daughter and one of six siblings, her legacy of love and kindness will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew her.
Margie embraced her faith in Christ at an early age, joining Smith Chapel C.M.E. Church, where she began a lifelong journey of service and devotion. Later in life, she found her spiritual home at New Hope United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully as an usher, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and minister. Her beautiful voice and vibrant spirit brought joy to her congregation and everyone fortunate enough to hear her sing. Education played an important role in Margie's life as she attended Munford High School within the Talladega County School system. Once completing her education, Margie began working with Tyson Foods and later with Masterbrand Cabinets; but her compassionate nature drew her to the healthcare field, where she found her calling as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Talladega Healthcare. Margie's career was marked by her unwavering dedication to caring for others, a reflection of her generous heart.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Margie was known for her warm smile and infectious energy. She delighted in playing cards and dominoes, often gathering family and friends for joyful evenings filled with laughter and friendly competition. A devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Margie passionately cheered for her team, embodying the spirit of friendship that she cherished with loved ones.
On Friday morning, April 11, 2025 while in the care of Talladega Healthcare, God called upon His faithful servant, Margie Dark Jemison, who answered with grace and serenity. She now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved parents, Willie and Thelma Dark, her husband, Terry W. Jemison, and her dear sisters, Avyline Benson and Judy Gail Dark, alongside her brother-in-law, Andrew Pearson.
Margie leaves behind cherished memories that will be lovingly held by her devoted son, Dennis Dark; her brother, Willie Dark; and sisters, Wendolyn (Edward) Richardson and Denece Pearson; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
As we celebrate Margie's remarkable life, let us remember her as a beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering faith-a true servant of God whose memory will forever inspire and uplift us.

Ms.Margie was a wonderful woman full of love and was the highlight to my day when i got to see her. I met her much later in her life through a medical call and then was honored to transport her to and from her treatments where she would tell me about her family and ask me about mine she saw more pictures of my children than my real family. She was very loved and i told her on many occasions. She will be very missed. To her family know she loved you very much. My deepest sorrows are with you.
