Maria R Medina, known fondly as Chayin, a light so keen, Born in Eagle Pass, in '78, a summer's day's dream. On the fifteenth of May, twenty-five, she took her leave, In San Antonio's embrace, her spirit did weave. A wife to Reyes H Medina, a love so profound, A mother to three, in their hearts, she is forever found. Reyes Jr., her pride, Anai her joy's reflection, And young Maximiliano, her life's sweetest confection. At the University of Texas, her knowledge did grow, In Austin, she flourished, in wisdom, she'd glow. Her career took her to places where dreams are streamed, As Disney's bilingual manager, she truly beamed.
A spiritual soul, her faith was uniquely her own, In life's vast tapestry, her inner light always shone. Ernest Hemingway's words, she'd read with delight, While Van Gogh's starry swirls filled her dreams at night. Paris held her heart, in its streets, she found peace. Her love for baking, a joy that would never cease. Banana bread, tres leches, her signature treat, in photography, her talents were marvelously neat. Her generosity knew no bounds, a heart so wide, Passion fueled her days, with creativity as her guide. Her family, the core, where her devotion lay, for her employees, her care shone like the sun's ray. Friends were her treasure, with them, time well spent, Laughter and memories, in joyous harmony, they'd vent.
Maria, our Chayin, a soul so incredibly rare, in every life she touched, she showed how much she did care. Now as we remember the woman so vibrant and kind, her spirit, a beacon, in our hearts, we'll always find. Generous, passionate, creative, in every way, Maria R Medina, in our love, you'll forever stay.
