Marie Catherine Myers, 98, a resident of South Mountain Rehab Center and formally of Hagerstown and Boonsboro, Maryland passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. She left this world and entered her eternal home after living a very loving and moral life.
Born on September 20, 1927 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Walker Barnes and Bessie Lynn (Bowers) Barnes. She grew up in Hagerstown and attended Hagerstown High School. While working at the Snow White Grill, she met her future husband Hubert Harry Myers and they married on November 11, 1946. Marie was a dedicated housewife, taking care of her four children, helping on the farm, gardening, and canning. She especially loved reading and embroidery. Marie also enjoyed baking, especially donuts, pies, and cinnamon rolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Myers; parents: Joseph and Bessie Barnes; sisters: Virginia Huntzberry, Florence Weaver, Anna Barnes; and son: Donald Myers.
Marie is survived by two sons: John and wife Ileana Myers of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, and Thomas and wife Shari Myers of Boonsboro, MD; daughter: Arlena and husband Terry "Butch" Moore of Hagerstown, MD; five grandchildren: Karolyn and husband Sammy Popat, Jonathan Myers, Teresa and husband Victor Mulligan, Zachary McLeod, and Hannah and husband Carter Medchill; several great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Martin and Eva Barnes of Hagerstown, MD, and Josephine Elliott of Greencastle, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown, MD. on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with a one-hour visitation prior.
The service will be officiated by her son, Pastor John Myers.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, and condolences during this difficult time.
