Eric Gene Schaeffer, 63, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Monday, November 10, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born January 11, 1962, in Hagerstown he was the son of Donna J. (Gettel) Hewitt and the late, Jack Lee Schaeffer.
Eric was an employee for Hub Labels, Hagerstown where he was a printer for 46 years.
Eric was an avid outdoors man and hunter.
In addition to his mother he also is survived by his daughter, Erica L. Brown and husband Terry; five siblings, his twin, Christopher L. Schaeffer and wife, Sheri, Melissa R. Schaeffer and fiancé, Brian Blickenstaff, Troy L. Schaeffer and wife, Mary and Shawn T. Schaeffer and wife, Christina and Jacqueline Blickenstaff and husband, Ed; five grandchildren including, Charity Brown and Gaige Brown and Eric's companion for over 30 years, Lisa Spessard and her daughter Jamie.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
