Marilyn Augusta Yarroll, age 78 passed away on August 11th, 2021, at her home in Tekoa, WA surrounded by loved ones. Marilyn was born on March 2nd, 1943, to Benjamin and Iva (Waters) Oles in Cloquet, Minnesota. She was the 7th of their 9 children. As a young child, Marilyn's family moved to Mead, WA where she grew up.
Marilyn met and married LeRoy Yarroll at a young age, and they started their family in Mead, WA where they had two children, Julie Kay and Roy Allen. They later bought land and built their home outside of Deer Park, WA, where they lived for over 50 years. In 2018 they moved to Tekoa, WA to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Marilyn was a wonderful cook and loved baking. She was also a talented seamstress and worked for the Deer Park School District sewing computer and typewriter covers. She also worked for the local sewing factories, as well as the Chicken Ranch. Marilyn had a "green thumb", and she could grow anything. She lovingly tended her green house for years, as well as several gardens, flower beds, and house plants.
Marilyn is survived by her Daughter Julie & Al of Tekoa, WA, her 3 grandchildren, Jon & Dawna of Rosalia, WA, Amanda & Brian of Tekoa, WA, and Camron of Tekoa, WA, as well as her older brother Duane & Delilah of Pendleton, OR. She is also remembered by her 8 great-grandchildren including Ryan, Raeanna, Evan, Naomi, Jamison, Julian, Degan & Noraya, and 2 great-great- grandchildren, Nathan & Abigale.
