Marissa Anne Osborne, 23, of Noank, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital, with family and loved ones by her side, following a brief illness.

Marissa was born in Westerly, Rhode Island, to Jill and Torrey Osborne. She grew up in Noank,
Connecticut and spent her childhood surrounded by family and friends.

Marissa loved summer time along the coast, especially trips to the Westerly Town Beach. From an early age, Marissa demonstrated a deep love for animals, a passion that would guide her personal and
professional aspirations. During her teenage years, Marissa volunteered at the Mystic Aquarium, attended Project Oceanology and worked at Abbott's Lobster in Noank.

Inspired by her father's passion for automobiles, she developed an interest in cars and especially enjoyed driving her great-grandfather's truck. Proud of her Native American heritage, Marissa found joy in attending the Narragansett PowWow on tribal grounds in Rhode Island.

Marissa graduated from Fitch High School in 2019 and pursued higher education at Southern
Connecticut State University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2023. She
most recently started working at Noank-Mystic Veterinary Hospital.

Marissa shared her life with her soulmate, Ryan Daniels. Together they loved to travel anywhere
they could find an adventure. It didn't matter what they did, just as long as they were together.
She will be remembered for her intelligence, kindness, and fun-loving sense of humor. Her
warm spirit, loving nature, and ability to light up every room left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Torrey and Jill Osborne, and her brother Derek Osborne, all of
Noank; her maternal grandparents, Michael and Laura Servidio of Bradford, Rhode Island; her
paternal grandparents, Cathy Osborne and James Osborne, both of Groton; the love of her life, Ryan Daniels of Wappinger Falls, New York; her beloved dog, Frankie; and many aunts, uncles,
cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal great-grandparents, Virginia and Ralph Abruzzese of Bradford, Rhode Island; her paternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Walter Manyard of Branford, Connecticut and her cherished dog, Bisquet.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service celebrating Marissa's life at 1p.m. on Thursday, July 10th at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home; 59 Spruce St., Westerly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marissa's memory to the Mystic Aquarium (www.mysticaquarium.org) or to the Groton Animal Foundation (www.grotonanimalfoundation.org).
