The Lord called Mark Anthony Pierquet, 70, on April 4, 2024, to go fishing and hunting with Him for eternity. Mark was born to Quintin and Marion (Baganz) Pierquet on June 26, 1953, and resided in the Dotyville area. After graduating from Campbellsport High School in 1971, Mark walked down to the barn on the family farm and continued doing chores and milking for the next 42 years. Along the way he met and married Pam (Stubbe) on September 13, 1975, and what a hayride that resulted in the addition of 3 children. A while later Mark started to feel his age and needed some younger calf feeders in the barn, so his children graciously added 7 grandkids. When the barn chores were done, Mark was found making popcorn, playing board games, teaching card games, or icing down the barn hill in winter so the grandkids could go sledding. These are the times he truly cherished along with watching the grandkids at their sporting events.
For a few years after selling the cows, Mark worked for the Town of Forest doing miscellaneous jobs and for Joe Miritz Custom Chopping.
Mark enjoyed fishing, sturgeon spearing, and hunting where he was always laughing or grumbling about "the one that got away". He celebrated "a hole in one" golfing. He also enjoyed playing sheepshead and euchre while astutely showing off his card shuffling skills.
Those he leaves behind include his wife of 48 years Pam; his daughter, Julie (Kevin) Young; his sons, Chuck (Pam) Pierquet and Randy (Rachel) Pierquet; Grandchildren, Keaton and Kennedy Young, Quintin, Kylee, Ryan, Carson and Landon Pierquet. He also leaves behind his brother Jim (Carrie) Pierquet and two sisters Jackie (John) Flesch and Jill (Dan) Mayer. Sisters-in-law Marie Pierquet and Mary Pierquet. He is further survived by his step mother-in-law, Kay Stubbe; sisters-in-law, Sandy Turner; Nancy (Rick) Possin; Janet (Don) Schneider and brother-in-law, Jack (Kim) Stubbe; step brother-in-law, Jeff Rice; and step sister-in-law, Barbara (Rick) Blakely; along with nieces; nephews; many relatives; and numerous friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Quintin and Marion Pierquet; father-in-law, Eldon Stubbe and mother-in-law, Irma Stubbe; 3 brothers Bob, Gary and Dave Pierquet; brothers-in-law Michael Turner and Dale Stubbe; his maternal grandparents, Fred (Alice) Baganz and paternal grandparents, Anton (Laura) Pierquet; along with numerous aunts and uncles in the Green Bay area.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061.
