Mark P. Vosberg, age 63, left this life on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He lived fully, loved deeply, and fought fiercely for his dreams.
Mark liked his music loud and his nature retreats quiet. From the Florida Keys to the Alaskan tundra, his restless spirit took him all over the world in search of adventure. Mark always had a cooler packed and a canoe in tow, ready to pitch a tent at the beach or in the mountains of North Carolina at a moment's notice. He was most at peace and closest to God when in nature. Through his connection to the natural world, Mark found his life's passion in promoting conservation in ecological restoration and education.
Above all else, Mark valued his role as a father and instilled a strong work ethic and playful sense of humor in each of his children.
Mark is survived by his four children, Angelea Aldana Dwyer (Vosberg) of Baltimore, MD, Daphne Jane Vosberg of Vieques, Puerto Rico, Lucas Ry Vosberg, Kai Vosberg, and their mother, Mary Eileen Vosberg, all of Raleigh, NC, as well as his four siblings, Rick Vosberg, Ellen Vosberg, Trish Needham (Vosberg), Tom Vosberg, and his father Richard Vosberg.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother and biggest cheerleader Mary Virginia Vosberg, (Biederbeck) and his nephew Kelly Needham.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held. Burial of ashes will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Mark loved the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. As such, memorial contributions can be made to Beloved Asheville, an on-the-ground organization dedicated to providing relief to those affected by Hurricane Helene. Please donate here https://www.belovedasheville.com/donate/.
