Mark Richard Williams, 64 of Wooster, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at home on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with colon cancer.
Mark was born in Orrville on Nov. 28, 1956 and was the son of Robert and Janet (Geier) Williams. He graduated from Waynedale High School in 1975 and on July 3, 1988 he married the love of his life, Kathy Sue Ward and his love and devotion to her has been an inspiration to many. Mark had worked for 21 years at Kidron Inc. and for the past 18 years he has been the head mechanic and supervisor of the bus garage at South East Local Schools. Mark will be remembered for his wit and sarcasm which he never failed to use, for his willingness to lend a hand and help others, for his master chef skills in the kitchen and for never having met a stranger. Always a family man, he enjoyed goose hunting with his boys and friends and the memorable hunting trip to Arkansas with them.
Mark leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy Sue; his much loved sons, Anthony and Rachel Williams of Mount Eaton and Macarthy of Wooster; grandchildren, Luke and Madilynn; his mother, Janet Albright of Mount Eaton; brothers and sisters, Murray and Sue Williams of Hilton Head, SC, Matt Williams of Beach City, Lissa Shankle of Mount Eaton, Molly Murphy of Magnolia, Julie and Dan Stahlman of Mount Eaton and Marvin Albright and many nieces, nephews and great friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Michael Williams and a sister Melinda Williams.
There will be a celebration of Mark's life held in the Spring of 2022. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
